We've recently migrated over to a new VPN connection called GlobalProtect.  Please contact the IT Department (help.desk@cityofvallejo.net) or call 707-648-5200 to schedule an appointment if you're still using the NetMotion Mobility Client on your laptop or mobile device.  This change will not affect any VPD users.  

You can also follow the direction below to install on your personal PC/Mac device.

Install GlobalProtect VPN Connection

Download the GlobalProtect application from any outside network using the following URL: https://vpn.cityofvallejo.net

At the security prompt, click on the Show Advanced icon, then click on the proceed to vpn.cityofvallejo.net (unsafe)

Use your existing login credentials

Username: firstname.lastname

Password: Use your existing PC Login password

Click Login

Select the application depending your device (MAC, PC 32Bit, PC 64 Bit) and download

Click the downloaded file to start the installation of the GlobalProtect Client.


The instructions below will describe how to connect and disconnect using the GlobalProtect VPN connection setup on your PC.

How to Connect to GlobalProtect VPN

1.       Connect to the available Wi-Fi or external network connection

2.       Click on the Hidden Icon in your toolbar

3.       Right Click the GlobalProtect icon

4.       Select Connect

5. Login using your existing credentials, click Connect


6.       Once Connected the Icon will change to a Globe with a Shield and show connected



How to Disconnect from GlobalProtect VPN

7.       To disconnect, right click the icon and select Disconnect
